The rain shower started even before the usual flag-off time of 4.30pm and eventually would be expected a wet-wet hash run from beginning till the end of run. Our body shall be forever drenched but the cool rain did help to cool down the whole scenario but then the next step to overcome was the watery muddy shiggy dirt and fast flowing water down the undulating terraces of the Palms plantation.
A short and normal run were set by the hares of 7Km and 11Km respectively for today’s trail. Almost all were on the oil palms estate uneven dirt path terrains and running on the ridges of the hilly regions with all the soft muddy damp earth and puddles of watery dirt along almost the entire trail. Our shoes sank into the soft mud while splashing water with each step with much physical effort and balance.
But I think the checks and falsies and a big circular for the run were quite good at keeping most of pack together but at times there was some difficulty to find the rain-soaked paper trail.
So the wet wet hash run today was an intense experience with the soggy wet undulating terrain throughout. It transformed a familiar route into an unpredictable adventure, marked by muddy paths, slippery dirt paths into an interesting dynamic challenging trail!
Despite the challenges, it was an undeniable joy and fun of hashing on a rainy day. Thank you to the hares and well-done. Cheers and On On !!
